This will be the blog where I share my Apocalypse Challenge successes or failures! I hope it won't be as tough as it looks but it sure does seem like loads of fun.

Scrap Book 2: Bringing Hope and Food back to Fayetteville

~This is the end of the ending~
I have decided to keep up with scrap booking, even though my parents will never recieve my college scrap book. I figure it can serve as a history book for later generations to learn of how I, Vix Skywalker, managed to rebuild the town of Fayetteville after the nuclear meltdown.
The cab could only bring me to the end of the road-or whats left of it at least when he got near the town. I guess he could have driven all the way in he was just too affraid of the zombie attacks or something. So I huffed it to a safe house designed by the langraab society, it was not the best place in the world but it worked. Here are some pictures.

This is the whole thing. Not allowed to live on the ground floor something about chemicals in the ground whatever. Guess thats what caused the grass to die.

Here is the ground zero as I refer to it, or the garage/driveway you know whatever.

The first floor-has four chairs that are mashed together like a couch. Smart thinking if you ask me because I feel so weak since I came back I can't lift anything larger than one sq foot large. I also have a chess table for fun, social, and skill building and you can't see it but there is a bookshelf in the corner here. The total value of the furniture in this room: §2,820. But the mob tells me they are only worried about the things valued at above §100 so the chairs by the chess table don't count bringing the value down to: §2,660.

The second floor is a bed room, and will be converted to a common bed room once children arrive as I am not allowed to sell nything nor build larger than 8X8. Maybe walls will be put up but I'm not sure as of yet. there is only this bed in here and it cost: §1,800.

Finally we have the kitchen/bath. I know its a bit silly to have a toilet in a kitchen-but it seemed like the only good place to stick it. There is a fridge, grill a couple of counters, a sink, kitchen table 4 chairs 2 end tables, 1 boom box, and one telephone...total value of this room: §2,139. But I'm a smart gal and bought everything I could that was under §100, which means the counters, table, end tables, chairs, boombox and phone don't count! So it brings the value to: §1,135. I also have the cost of the car to look at and thats §950....the total amount of 'valuable' items in my house is §5,075 so it looks like I'll be paying around §3,045 a week until a criminal mastermind imerges from my home-to take out those mafia guys. Boy!

I meditated for a few hours after arriving so the-uh paper boy-man how come he can get out here? Isn't he worried about all those zombies??? Speaking of zombies-yes there really are zombies can you believe it???

Oh yeah, like I was saying, I meditated to save my strength until the paper arrived, and when it did I looked for a job-no luck in my chosen path so I went with Paranormal instead. It was the highest paying and I really was in need of cash!

So off to my first day on the job......

and not too long after I got their I got fired! Gosh-I wanted to make sure my sources were correct about the mind controlling vegitables. I didn't want to risk publishing bad lies! So I got fired.....oh well, it wasn't the correct career path for me any how.

So I called my beau to make my self feel better....after that-

I took my very first sponge bath-I did not have any other way of keeping myself clean and at this point I could smell myself!*

So much for going after the culinary field-I want to bring food to all of the sims that should be living in this town, but....it doesn't look like I'll be achieving that any time soon. I guess until then we'll all be living on Jello.

Finally on Wendsday I got a job as a drive through cleark-but at §168 a day I better get a promotion with the quickness. I didn't start till the next day so I called some friends to touch base and make sure they didn't forget about me.

Brian also came by and I was so happy to see him. I couldn't keep my hands off of him....but since there was no birthcontrol we decided to keep it light.

And we played few gmes of chess together. He, of course, cheated-but I didn't mind as I was so happy to have someone around to talk to that was not a zombie-man they scare me.

I finally started work the next day-and got no promotion even though I have all of the skills and friends needed....I was also in a good mood when I went into work...I don't know how long it will take for me to completly loos my good mood though. Will I ever get a promotion?

Looks like my prayers have been answered-maybe a little too late, but answered well enough. Its already Saturday and I have to pay the mob guys on Monday evening! I sure hope I get two more promotions so I can have enough money to pay them....what will happen if I don't. I'm a little over half way there with §2,311 so lets just hope....in the mean time I will just meditate to save my strength. Its really hard living like this....and I miss everyone I loved so much. Well it turned out I didn't have to work on monday so I ended up not having enough money to pay the mob guys-and almost had to loose a toilet in the process.

Instead I bargined with them and asked them to take one of the living chairs from downstairs, they did because it was more valuable. I'm sure glad they didn't take a finger with them or something.

When I went to work next-zombie Rainy came by and knocked over my garbage can! Boy she was so nice when she was a sim. But-something really good happened at work so I was OK.

Thats right another promotion! I was so excited. Actually, I sorta cheated. At this point I remembered the things I brought back from college-besides my diploma I brought a few of those alien technology pieces the science department was working on. Oh boy I was excited to try this new thingie out. The geek-I mean nice folks from the lab told me that it would keep my mind soothed so that I could function under pressure. They didn't tell me about it's abiltiy to almost guarentee a promotion everytime.

By the time this picuture was taken it's special power was used up and I had to get rid of it, but I was an executive chef so it didn't matter to me....I still had:

My energizer which I smartly placed on the roof-boy that was a load off my sholders! I guess carrying that around was the reason I was so tired all the time-I don't think I'll be able to move it again, so I decided to place it up here so it won't be in the way.....how do I get up there? Well, with all the meditating I have been doing I learned this AWESOME trick------>

I can actually teleport! Did you know that was possible? I sure didn't. I guess the mind really is a powerful weapon-you just have to take time out to let it work. So, with that noodle soother I got all of these**:

I only needed two more promotions to be able to bring food back into my town. But I the power was sucked from the noodle soother and I stunk worse than the skunks running around the neighboorhood-

So it was back to sponge bathing. But it wasn't so bad..I really don't mind. Bills came a few times-I was glad they were only like §81-because I needed all the extra cash I could for those awful mob guys.

I paid my bills when they came and I also called my friends durring those days as it was when I remembered to do so. I wanted to make sure they didn't forget about me while I was so far away. I only had the friends from college left and I sure wanted to keep them. There was no way I was going to befriend those mean zombies!

Finally I was able to get to the top. Not only would I be on TV, with my own show-but I was able to help bring hope to my town. I decided to sleep tonight.

The next morning I invited Brian over and asked him to move in-I was going to restore hope to this town by bringing in new dwellers, and we would start a family really soon. We got married, and later that afternoon we had a delivery. Cass sent us a video she watched-since I have no way to watch it I'll just leave it here in my scrap book. Well, until next time-pray for me!

~author's notes~
*Durring this first sponge bath was a pretty interesting experiance. I downloaded the see them hack -I'll add link to link section later-so that I could get the toilet flushing shots on the first viedo and figured it'd be fine to leave it on. Its not like I have any of those custom skins that are 'life like' well, I was wrong about that! My skin tone was one of those natural skin tones, and I'm sure glad my 2 year old wasn't sitting in my lap when I was playing that part as she normally is....but that wasn't the first of my concerns oh no, my first thought was-"Hey my boobs don't look like that!!! Man I sure wish they did though." So yeah, I'm a bit on the silly side, I don't know where the skin came from but it really is done well.

**If you want to read them you can copy the link location and open them up and it will take you to a bigger picture of each one. I figured you didn't need to read every one of them as they all say pretty much the same thing, and you can read itin your game.
